Surgery and Anesthesia

We offer a full range of surgical services ranging from basic de-sexing operations to more advanced procedures. For most surgical procedures, anesthesia is required. Our team makes it a priority to stay educated on the best approaches to small animal anesthesia. We build a plan unique for each patient so your pet can have the smoothest and safest anesthesia possible.

We use a combination of pre-anesthetic medications and inhalant anesthetics to achieve optimum levels of anesthesia that are safe for your pet. While under anesthesia, your pet’s blood pressure is continually monitored as well as their heart and respiratory rates, core body temperature and oxygen levels with our latest patient monitoring system. A surgical assistant is with your pet from the beginning of the procedure, throughout surgery, up until transfer to the recovery area.

Our veterinarians are skilled general surgeons. Before surgery, we carefully consider the benefit versus risk of the surgery for your pet. We take our time to fully discuss the case with you and make sure that you agree prior to considering any surgical procedure. We will also provide you with postoperative care information to ensure your pet’s good recovery.
